Advice and resources for a successful retirement
These days, employees are more responsible than ever for saving for their retirement, and yet there are aspects of investing and financial planning that seem complicated and daunting. As part of your retirement plan benefits, you can consult with an adviser at no additional cost.
Here's how it works. You have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one meeting with an adviser every year. We'll reach out to you semi-annually to check in on your progress and to see if you have questions or if your investment objectives have changed. We will send you e-mail notices prior to your company's annual enrollment period, and we really hope you’ll make the most of our services. This can have a big impact on how much money you actually save.
If you're new to the company, or thinking of enrolling in the plan for the first time, just request an appointment to get started.
Between our conversations, we'll stay in touch via our monthly e-Letter, and we invite you to visit the 401(k) Knowledge Center on a regular basis for updates on your plan investments and events in the market. You'll find useful articles, like this one with helpful FAQs about your plan's Target Allocation Portfolios and how to select the one that's right for you. If you're a "do-it-yourself investor" and want to review the potential risks and returns associated with various asset allocations, check out the Risk Tolerance survey and tool.
Have other questions about the nuts and bolts of your plan and retirement plans? Be sure to check out the I Want To Know More resource on the page sidebar; it is structured as an easy to navigate drop down box. Don't forget to explore the many Savings and Planning Calculators on our site, as well as the one provided on the Ascensus site.
Speaking of questions, during your one-on-one meetings a TWM Adviser will be ready to help answer questions like:
- How much should I contribute to my plan?
- How should I invest my retirement funds?
- Am I taking full advantage of potential tax benefits?
- Am I on track with my saving for retirement?
- Can I roll my 401(k) funds from a previous employer into this plan?
- My financial situation has changed, should I change my contributions?
- The market just had a big upswing/downturn; should I change my investments?
We are here to help you navigate the retirement planning maze!
